Joey Bada$$ and rappers from New York's five boroughs celebrated the life and music of their fallen brother Courtney Everald "Jamal" Dewar Jr., better known as Capital STEEZ, on STEEZ Day at Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield in New York Tuesday (July 7).
July 7 was the late Capital STEEZ's birthday. STEEZ would have been twenty. To celebrate his life and the legacy that he left behind, fellow Pro Era member Joey Bada$$ put out a song by STEEZ called 'King Steelo.'
Fans of the late Capital Steez are looking forward to his posthumous release, 'King Capital,' but until then, a new verse has surfaced from a mixtape by Brooklyn rapper SMTH. Apparently, Steez's verse on 'The Last Straw' was recorded five days before he committed suicide at the age of nineteen in December, making it the last-known recorded verse of his career.
