Earlier this year, Los Angeles rappers MED and Blu collaborated on a fantastic project called 'The Burgundy EP.' The collection featured the duo rapping over sample-based production by the great producer Madlib. The trio rekindles the magic again on a new EP, 'The Buzz.'
To coincide with the project's release today, Left Coast lyricist Blu and veteran producer Nottz treat listeners to a full listen of their joint EP, 'Gods in the Spirit.'
'Boyz II Men' wasn't a bad track by any measure, but it also wasn't the soulful harmony many might have been hoping to hear from Blu and Nottz's upcoming collaborative EP, 'Gods in the Spirit' (maybe we're just romanticizing about 'Below the Heavens' too much).

Blu might not have enjoyed the same mainstream success as most of his fellow XXL Freshmen, but the Los Angeles rapper/producer has made a name for himself for creating collaborative masterpieces -- just take his 2007 opus with Exile, 'Below the Heavens.'
