Sneaker of The Week: Nike Air Tech Challenge II Hot Lava

Love tends to hit you like a ton of bricks and if you’ve ever felt that avalanche consider yourself lucky. That feeling came in spades a few years ago when Nike brought back their Air Tech Challenge II in a slew of colorways but the supply dried up by 2015 leaving us all jilted and lonely. Well Nike looks to rekindle the affair this year and by giving us this OG colorway of the shoe. They’ve also supplied us with our pick for Sneaker of The Week.

We’ll just start off by saying that you’ve definitely seen this pair of sneakers before and it looks as good as it did the last time. The white leather plays host to black trim and sizzling hot lava accents for the perfect blend of colors ultimately providing that iconic feel. It’s a look that isn’t necessarily underrated but could definitely use a slight signal boost in the ‘awareness’ department, if you know what I mean.
