Rap colleagues and loyal supporters of Pimp C united via Twitter Saturday (Dec. 4) to pay tribute to the fallen UGK soldier, as the date marks the third year since the rapper's untimely passing.

Bun B sent out a special message to his followers, which equal more than 121,000 from around the globe. "Today we remember the life of my brother Chad Lamont Butler," Bun tweeted. "We never stop thinking about you. You are loved. You are missed. UGK for life!"

The 'Trill O.G.' lyricist participated in hashtags like #InmemoryofPimpC, though others like #RIPPimpC and #PimpCsaid popped up throughout the social networking site.

Bun tweeted, "#InMemoryOfPimpC Listen to 'Shattered Dreams'..he wanted you to know that you can be whoever you wanna be. Don't let anyone steal your dreams!," and "#InMemoryOfPimpC Make sure y'all give a birthday shout to @S_C_ [Jay-Z] because he was a really good friend of Pimp's, so today is bittersweet."

Brooklyn MC Talib Kweli paid respects to the 'Pimpalation' creator as well, sharing one of his favorite UGK tracks.

"#InmemoryofPimpC you should bump that Murder! by UGK check it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvtZ9fuZv2E @BunBTrillOG," Kweli tweeted.

Rapid rhymer Twista announced his promise to honor Pimp C at a Saturday night show in Pennsylvania.

"I'mma dedicate my show tonite in Pittsburgh in the honor of pimp c, real recognize real my nigga rip," the Chicago native wrote.

A slew of other hip-hop affiliates, including Busta Rhymes, Big Boi and Styles P, among others, took to Twitter to pay respects to the legendary rapper.
