Nas wants to come to a plate near you. The Queens, N.Y. rapper is expanding his business empire by joining forces with New York City soul food restaurant Sweet Chick.

"Extending the Empire! New Patnaz! "Me & my Bro about to FLIP THESE BIRDS!! Chicken & Waffles and more…," Nas wrote as the caption to a photo of himself and Sweet Chick owner John Seymour standing outside of the LES restaurant last night (June 17).

The rapper is working with Seymour to expand the eatery beyond its two NYC locations. “As we continue to grow and develop the Sweet Chick brand, we want to align with partners and artists that understand what we represent,” said Seymour in a statement.

On his partnership with Nas, he explained: “When conceptualizing Sweet Chick, we understood the history of chicken & waffles and wanted to have an amazing product while paying homage to its roots within the music community of NYC. Music has played a huge part in defining who we are and with Nas (my favorite rapper) on board, it’s a dream come true and we can truly move forward with a ‘NY state of Mind’ and introduce SWEET CHICK to a bigger audience.”

You can check out Sweet Chick's fried chicken, pulled pork and other finger-licking food in NYC's Lower East Side or in Brooklyn location.

Nas has had a full plate of projects this year. The MC is slated to release a new album and recently collaborated with Sprite on its "Obey Your Verse" spot.
