Hip-hop has always been about trends -- dancing to snap music, rockin' BAPE across your chest and, now, writing tell-alls about your exploits with the genre's elite.

Carmen Bryan, mother of Nas's twelve year-old daughter Destiny, pulls a "Superhead" and chronicles her role in the rapper's beef with Jay-Z in her latest book 'It's No Secret.'

"When [Jay-Z] and I met, that was destiny. We actually were friends way before we became intimate on any level," she told AOL Black Voices. "I figured it could be problematic once we got deep into the relationship, however, it had nothing to do with his occupation. I mean, I could've been seeing a garbage man or a bus driver, and had Nas found out, it would've been a problem."

Nas's wife, Kelis responded to Bryan's claims in a recent trip to AOL Music's New York studios: "I don't know how much of it is true or not true. I don't really care, honestly. She doesn't know me; she doesn't know my husband now. If this is how she wants to portray her life, then who am I to say... you know? It doesn't really have any bearing on me."

Gotta love Ms. 'Bossy.' Hova's boo probably wouldn't have given more than a smile had we asked her.
