Lupe Fiasco has been announced as a performer at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, alongside Trey Songz.

The Chi-Town MC will hit the stage on June 5 to perform two songs from his chart-topping 'Lasers' album, which premiered in March. Fiasco is scheduled to perform 'Out of My Head' with singer Trigga Trey, making it their first televised performance of the sugary, pop track.

Next up, Lupe will tackle the hit single 'The Show Goes On,' which he has performed on shows such as 'Lopez Tonight', in promotion of the album. "I'm excited to be performing on this year's MTV Movie Awards," Lupe said in a statement to MTV. "I'm looking forward to putting together another special performance for my fans."

Lupe's next musical project will be 'Food & Liquor 2,' a follow-up to his 2006 debut album 'Food & Liquor.' "There's no attempt to get on the radio, except maybe once, thus far, it's still a work in progress," he told MTV News, of the new record. "It's a harder album -- the beats are way harder. It's not about being progressive. It's not about making music, which is weird [to say]. It's 'let's make some really hard-ass songs."

MTV will broadcast this year's Movie Awards from the Gibson Amphitheatre, in Universal City Calif. on Sunday, June 5 at 9PM EST. The show will be hosted by actor and comedian Jason Sudeikis, and presenters will include Aziz Ansari, Nicki Minaj, Steve Carell and Ryan Reynolds.
