Despite all the fights, the Internet beefs and the raw lyrics, Game is actually quite altruistic, as he's been named the recipient of the 2014 Humanitarian of the Year award.

The Compton-born rapper received the honor at the 25th Annual Talk of the Town Black Tie Gala Saturday (Nov. 22), held by the Associate for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studios at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He earned the honor thanks to his efforts with his charitable organization, the Robin Hood Project.

Game was given the award due to his work with his charitable organization, which helps children around the world. There's no doubt the 34-year-old was honored to accept the award, as he took to social media to speak about it, and do a little reflecting.

"It all started when I gave one kid from Africa $20," he wrote. "That created @therobinhoodproject and since then I've given away over a million dollars of my own money hand to hand and through charitable organizations. I am honored and more than appreciateve of #ABC for this Humanitarian of The Year award. I was just a poor kid from Compton....Never thought in a million years I'd have even an extra dollar to giveaway let alone a million. #Humbled."
