B.o.B. ‘Play the Guitar’ Video: Andre 3000 Serves a Verse, Missing in Dots
Though it didn't make the cut for his sophomore album, Strange Clouds, B.o.B.'s Andre 3000-featured track "Play the Guitar" has received a similarly paradoxical video treatment. The Atlanta MC transforms into a black-and-grey dotwork pattern.
Just as the song was mysteriously absent from his follow-up LP to 2010's B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray, so is Andre 3000, who pulls a no-show in the video. He's replaced by literal interpretations of his lyrics, including doughnuts, space shuttles, diamonds, space invaders and a very suspicious-looking guitar player at 1:50-mark.
Despite Three Stacks' absence, the video's pretty creative, bringing to mind Michel Gondry's classic White Stripes "Fell in Love with a Girl" clip.
