Summer Jam 2013 Welcomes Kendrick Lamar, French Montana, Lil’ Kim & More to the Stage

Hot 97's Summer Jam 2013 took place on a blazing hot day in East Rutherford, N.J., at the MetLife Stadium Sunday (June 2), with each new performance increasing the temperature tenfold.

Before the main stage show commenced, rap acts like Bodega Bamz, Troy Ave, Action Bronson, Smoke DZA, A$AP Ferg, Vinny Chase and Joey Bada$$ graced the festival stage outside.

Inside the stadium, there were a slew of expected performances that were more than stellar and some major surprises.

Miguel brought out the lauded Mariah Carey to perform their new collaboration "#Beautiful" and he even tapped J. Cole for their union on "Power Trip."

Fabolous represented for Brooklyn, performing "Ready" with Chris Brown and shocked the audience when he introduced the Queen Bee Lil' Kim. She then moved into her "Hard Core" album hit "Queen Bitch" to booming applause.

A$AP Rocky welcomed Bone Thugs-N-Harmony during his set, paying respect to one of the hip-hop group's that influenced him. He also performed his own tracks like "Peso" and brought out Trinidad James and A$AP Ferg for the latter's "Work" remix.

2 Chainz rapped through his catalog of hits like "I'm Different" and "Birthday Song" but the highlight was when he grabbed the mic for "I Love Dem Strippers" and Nicki Minaj walked out to join him. She then performed their collaboration "Beez in the Trap."

French Montana got a chance to turn up the heat some more with his banger "Pop That" and treated the crowd to guest verses by Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. The "Haaan" man himself also received rave reviews when his new track, "Ain't Worried Bout Nothin," blasted throughout the stadium.

Kendrick Lamar rocked out with "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe," "Poetic Justice" and his remix of "U.O.E.N.O." He also showed love to his TDE crew, Black Hippy, uniting with Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul onstage to deliver a variety of tracks together.
