The copyright troubles continue for Kanye West. Weeks after settling a lawsuit with Syl Johnson, whose "Different Strokes" figured prominently in Yeezy and Jay-Z's Watch the Throne cut "The Joy," the Chi-Town rhymer has been hit with a $500,000 suit by Robert "Bobby" Poindexter, a former member of the R&B group the Persuaders, AllHipHop.com reports.

West sampled Poindexter's "Trying Girls Out" in "Girls Girls Girls (Remix)," which appears on the rapper's 2006 Freshman Adjustment 2 mixtape, and he apparently did so without obtaining the proper clearances.

"I have offered to resolve this matter out of court with Kanye West," Poindexter said. "But in response, he has refused to even discuss any 'out-of-court' resolutions whatsoever. Nor has he provided any evidence that he is demanding others to cease and desist from selling the illegal version."
