On Monday (Oct. 24), just two days before dancehall king Vybz Kartel was expected to appear in a Jamaican court to answer to drugs, murder and weapons charges in relation to the shooting death of 27-year-old promoter Barrington "Bossie" Burton, the controversial DJ was charged with the murder of a second man, Clive "Lizard" Williams.

Vybz, born Adidja Palmer, 35, reportedly shot Burton to death on July 12 in the Kingston suburb of Portmore, and was subsequently arrested, with a large quantity of marijuana, in a hotel room on Sept. 30.

The 'Clarks' singer has remained in police custody, pending charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana, and is now being charged in the August 16th murder of "Lizard" Williams, who was reportedly killed in Havendale, St. Andrew.

The Jamaican Gleaner has reported that, while Williams' body has yet to be recovered, they have"graphic descriptions" of his murder. Assistant Police Commissioner Ealan Powell told the Gleaner that Kartel is being further investigated "in connection with a number of murders, shootings and gunrunning.
