Kanye West, known for being a guest at many top designer's shows during New York Fashion Week, has been noticeably absent this season. Since the 2011 fall fashion preview kicked off in New York last week, the 'Watch the Throne' creator has yet to show his face. But his no-show is for good reason. The Chi-town MC is preparing for the launch of his womenswear line in Paris next month.

The NY Post reports that sources expect the 'N----s in Paris' rhymer to pass on the New York shows to put the final touches on his collection, which he'll debut during the Paris fashion shows in October. West reportedly tapped Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci -- the designer of the artwork for his and Jay-Z's 'Watch the Throne' -- as a mentor for his designs.

'Ye's presentation of his 2012 collection, designed by British womenswear designer Louise Goldin, will reportedly take place at 9:30PM on Oct. 1 -- the day Paris Fashion Week commences -- as part of the official fashion week schedule and will follow Jean Paul Gauliter and Loewe.

When news first broke of West's fashion venture, it was expected for the entertainer to premiere the line at New York Fashion Week. However, while recording his 'Watch the Throne' LP, and taking up residence in Paris during its creation, it's fitting he would showcase at 2011 PFW.

Kanye previously founded streetwear label Pastelle in 2008, though the line never reached stores.
