Lil Mama may not have a song that's hitting radio airwaves but that doesn't mean the spotlight isn't shining upon her. The Brooklyn native recently visited Power 105.1's the Breakfast Club in New York City to discuss her break from making tracks like her once popular 'Lip Gloss,' however, things took a dramatic turn when she broke down in tears when speaking of her deceased mother.

After brushing off insults from host Charlamagne the God, Mama addressed the topic of sitting idle in her music career and let the tears flow as she got emotional. "Listen, I've taken a step away from music already," the rapper told hist Angela Yee. "I'm getting back into the music now. My music will speak for itself. I'm not here to say what I'm gonna do. When I was 17 years old, I put out an album while my mother was dying of cancer. That right there alone is a struggle. That's hard. That's tough for anybody. But my music will speak for itself. My actions will speak for itself."

Clearly angered over the lack of positive support from radio figures like the Breakfast Club hosts, the 'America's Best Dance Crew' judge threw out sentiments that seemed to corner Nicki Minaj. "I don't look at TV or listen to radio and say, 'I'm gonna be a h-- now,' or 'Oh, I'm gonna do this now,' or 'I'm gonna talk like this,'" she said as she threw her hands from side to side. "Or 'I'm gonna get a tattoo that says 'I'm a doll,' or 'I'm gonna get a chain that says 'I'm a doll.' I'm Lil Mama til the day I die."

While host DJ Envy claimed her remarks were shots taken at the Young Money MC, the 'Voice of the Young People' creator kept on with her statements that she will be using her voice to get back to the music she once made.
