Two men have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of radio and TV personality DJ Megatron.

On Wednesday (April 7), police arrested 20-year-old Richard Cromwell and 21-year-old William Williams on charges of robbery, murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

DJ Megatron, real name Corey McGriff, was shot and killed in Staten Island's Clifton neighborhood on Sunday, March 27. The 32-year-old was gunned down in the early morning hours while he was reportedly on his way to purchase a cigar and marijuana. There were no eyewitnesses at the scene, but McGriff was speaking on his cell phone when he was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime at 2AM.

Family and friends paid their respects to the late DJ in a wake held on Monday (April 4) at the International Christian Center in New Springville, Staten Island, before he was buried the following day. "He was a positive person and he was dedicated. Dedicated to treating people nice," McGriff's brother, Marlon McGriff told NY 1 News. "He was a very good sacrificer. All for the positive, not for the negative."

DJ Megatron made a name for himself as a popular presence on BET's '106 & Park' TV show and as a disc jockey on WQHT Hot 97 radio station in New York City. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
