Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter IV' album, his first post-jail release, is officially scheduled to arrive on May 16.

"'Tha Carter IV' is done," the New Orleans native told MTV. "All they need to do is tell Tez [manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on 'Tha Carter IV' and put the album out." The video for the album's first official single, '6 Foot 7 Foot,' which features Cory Gunz, premiered on March 3 and found Weezy spoofing Christopher Nolan's sci-fi thriller 'Inception.'

Lil Wayne is currently on the road for his "I Am Music II" tour along with Nicki Minaj, Travis Barker, Rick Ross and Mix Master Mike. Weezy and friends kicked off the tour in Providence, R.I. on Wednesday (March 16), where he opened up about his stint behind bars, telling fans, "I was in a place a few months ago [where] I couldn't even imagine this s--t, but now that I'm here, it's better than I could have imagined," the rapper revealed.

The "I Am Music II" tour is a sequel to Wayne's 2008-2009 "I Am Music" tour, which grossed approximately $42 million dollars. The tour will make stops in major cities that include Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, New Orleans and Dallas, before wrapping up at the Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey on May 1, approximately two weeks before 'Tha Carter IV' is released.
