We all know Snoop Dogg is a boss in nearly every possible way, but many forget that he is now legitimately running Priority Records. Part of that job is bringing in new acts and building up a solid roster, and Snoop's doing his part with a newly-inked deal signing former Death Row label mate Mac Shawn 100. Mac, who was formerly a member of Funk Mobb, will finally get a crack at his official solo debut thanks to his old friend.

Fans might remember Mac Shawn 100 as the only Bay Area artist signed to Death Row before it collapsed. While the storied label definitely represented West Coast hip-hop at the time, it was mainly based around Los Angeles and generally ignored equally innovative rap being made up north. Mac was a late signee and never really got the prime time shine that propelled label mates like Snoop, Dr. Dre, Warren G and 2Pac to international stardom. Mac was more active during owner Suge Knight's incarceration and appeared on albums such as 'Suge Knight Represents: The Chronic 2000' and 'Dogg Pound: 2000.'

Shawn's first single with Priority is entitled 'And U Do Know That' and he's currently hard at work on the still-untitled album.
