Lil Wayne made headlines earlier this year after contraband materials -- an MP3 charger and headphones -- were discovered inside his Rikers Island jail cell -- a big no-no for prisoners. Now, an officer has been accused of playing favorites with the incarcerated emcee, for which the establishment has a zero-tolerance policy.

Rikers employee Capt. Latanya Brown was questioned by investigators from the Correction Department this past weekend for hanging around Weezy a bit too much, allowing him to stay in his cell when other inmates were forced out of their bunks and out into the recreation yard.

Wayne's presence at Rikers has been causing trouble since he entered the clink. Not only has Brown treated the Young Money honcho with favoritism, but another prison guard was fired back in April after attempting to sneak a peek at the rapper. Former Rikers guard Amelia Negron walked into his holding area to catch a glimpse of Weezy, later claiming she accidentally waltzed into the area and was unfairly fired for doing so.

Lil Wayne is currently finishing up the last few months of his sentence at the New York penitentiary. He began serving his bid earlier this March after being found guilty for criminal possession of a weapon. He is expected to be released from jail on Nov. 5, the same day that his LP 'Tha Carter IV' is set to drop.
