DMX hadn't been out of the slammer for a day, make that half a day, when the rapper was pulled over by police driving down Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, Calif. on Thursday, Aug. 12.

Following DMX's release from prison, where he had served 18 days of a 90-day sentence for reckless driving, police flagged the former Ruff Ryder down for a minor traffic violation. X, born Earl Simmons, was on his way home from a recording studio and couldn't provide proper identification as he apparently wasn't in possession of a valid driver's license. He avoided arrest when the cops instead ticketed and ordered to appear in court at a later date.

According to TMZ, his passanger took over the steering wheel and drove DMX home following the incident. X can't catch a break. Previously, the hip-hop star also completed a four-month prison sentence this past July in Arizona for a parole violation.
