Drake’s ‘Thank Me Later’ Pushed to June

Less than a week ago, news broke that Drake's debut album 'Thank Me Later,' was scheduled to his stores on May 25, but according to MTV News, the LP has been pushed back, once again, to June 15.

MTV caught up with Drake at Slippery Rock University, in Pennsylvania on Monday night (April 5) where he kicked off his 'Away From Home Tour' and revealed that the album's release date had been pushed forward another three weeks. Drake tried to send some good news to fans, revealing that he would be performing a new single 'Fireworks' during his 25-city tour. So far, Drake has only released one official single -- the track called 'Over' -- from the upcoming album, but another track 'Shut It Down,' which features The Dream has leaked on the Internet.

Drake's 'Away From Home Tour' will conclude in Houston on May 20, after making stops at 15 college campuses, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and the Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey. Fellow Canadian emcee k-os and synth-pop band, Francis and the Lights will join him as opening acts. The eco-friendly tour is a part of the 5th Annual Campus Consciousness tour, and will feature green and socially conscious groups who will educate students about promoting environmental sustainability through music.
