Yung Joc Skips Arraignment, Considered a Fugitive

Atlanta-based rapper Yung Joc failed to show up at his arraignment today on a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon and is now being considered a fugitive, according to Cleveland prosecutors.

The rapper, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, allegedly attempted to take a loaded gun onto a Delta Air Lines flight at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Sunday, and was charged with carrying a concealed weapon when the loaded gun was discovered in his carry-on luggage.

The 24-year-old was released on $50,000 bond on Monday, and claimed he was unaware that the weapon was in his bag.

"Yung Joc maintains his innocence. He would appreciate privacy as he addresses these allegations," the rapper's attorney Stanley Jackson Jr. told Billboard before his client decided not to appear in court for his arraignment.

Jackson apologized for Robinson and continued to defend the rap star Wednesday, but Cuyahoga County officials preceded with disciplinary action. Judge Michael John Ryan doubled the rapper's bond to $100,000 and prosecutor Gayle Williams said she planned to request a warrant for Robinson's arrest. Read the full story.
