We all know that Young Thug is a little strange, but this is a bit peculiar. According to Lyor Cohen, who runs 300 Entertainment, Thugger is changing his name to “No, My Name Is Jeffery.”

During his interview on the Rap Radar podcast, Cohen explained that fans embrace the Atlanta rhymer’s new transformation when he drops his mixtape, Jeffery.

"The reality of the situation is, Young Thug is not going to be 'Young Thug' anymore. His new name is going to be 'No My Name Is Jeffery,'" he explained (via HotNewHipHop). "'No, My Name is Jeffery.' That's his new name. And the reality is, when you see this commercial, you're all going to understand what we do here at 300."

"Because it's powerful images of what makes someone Young Thug and what the evolution and how someone is Jeffery," he continued. "It's a circular thing, it's important. 'No, My Name is Jeffery' is on it's way. Please respect us to actually segue and utilize his name going forward because it's important."

Okay?

Meanwhile, Thugger unveiled the track list to Jeffery via his Twitter account. The mixtape will feature eight songs just like Slime Season 3 project.

In a photo, the 24-year-old rapper wrote the titles out longhand on a notepad. The titles appear to be named after artists that he may look up to. For example, one of the songs is called "Elton John" and another tune is called "Floyd Mayweather." Song 6 is called "Bird Man," who he calls his mentor.

Hopefully, we can get a thorough explanation on the name change and celebrity-inspired track list.

Young Thug's Jeffery project will arrive on Aug. 26.
