Earlier this morning, while driving through his hometown of Nashville, Young Buck was shot at multiple times, local NBC affiliate WSMV reports. While the rapper was unharmed, a female passenger was hit in the shoulder. She was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital for treatment and subsequently released.

The shooting took place at 3:30AM, police say, when a Chevrolet Tahoe drove past the former G-Unit signee's SUV and opened fire, hitting the vehicle 11 times.

Hours earlier, the MC, whose birth name is David Brown, had tweeted about the lavish cookout he was throwing to celebrate a video shoot at his at his home.

"#CookOut at my Studio!!" he tweeted. "Steaks,Burgers,Chicken,Shrimp,etc.... Every kinda #Liquor u can Imagine!! #Ball Come Thru!!

The news comes some two months after news broke that the Tennessee rhymer might sell his stage name as part of ongoing bankruptcy proceedings. What's more, he was indicted last March on charges of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
