Young Buck may have filed for bankruptcy, but he’s already plotting on how to get his money back up. The Nashville-based emcee, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, is filing suit against former business associate 50 Cent and G-Unit Records.

Buck intends to sue 50, G-Unit Inc., its CEO Sha Money XL (nee Michael Clervoix) and G-Unit business manager Bruce Seckendorf over the next 30 to 60 days, demanding $5 million for freedom from his G-Unit contract and to recoup money he would have made from releasing solo material and appearing on other artists’ songs.

“Mr. Brown intends to reorganize his debts and pay off the IRS in a timely manner through Chapter 13,” said bankruptcy attorney Lynda Jones in a statement to The Nashville City Paper. ‘We hope to secure the return of his personal property quickly. He will also be filing a lawsuit in the next 30-60 days against his former manager, G Unit label and Mr. Curtis Jackson.

“There are a few procedural hurdles we need to address in handling these matters, but they will ironed out shortly,” she continued. ‘I will be associating attorneys Amy Everhart and Jennifer Lawson for the litigation. Both have excellent experience.’

Buck, whose home was raided by armed feds earlier this month, is gearing up for the release of his third solo album ‘The Rehab.’ The oft-delayed LP is slated for release on September 7.
