TMZ reports that Young Buck was arrested in Tennessee on Thursday (July 21) for threatening to burn down his ex-girlfriend's apartment.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Young Buck's ex-girlfriend reported that the rapper texted the threat on Wednesday. Buck reportedly showed up at his ex's apartment and kicked down the door but didn't bother anything inside. The Tennessee rapper was in custody for a few hours before he was released on $5,000 bond.

The arrest comes on the heels of Buck's recently released the song, “The Get Back" in the wake of the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. The song stirred controversy, but Buck said it was important that he speak out.

“I do feel like just us as people, we do got the right to be able to protect our lives from those crooked police officers that feel like they’ve got the right to take your innocent life–black or white,” Buck explained to TMZ Live. “At the end of the day, it’s like this, I didn’t even make it to TMZ Live until an innocent life was [taken],” he says. “Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.”

Buck also spoke about previously being a victim of police brutality.

"I bear my own bruises from police brutality," he said in the interview. "I go through these things on a day-to-day struggle, so my rage is fueled from a whole different kind of fire, my brother."

Young Buck is reportedly currently on probation. No word on whether or not he'll be cited for a violation with his latest arrest.
