Yo Gotti is coming to the aid of a family who is currently grieving over the loss of a young family member. The Tennessee native is reportedly offering to pay for the funeral cost of a 10-year-old boy from Memphis who reportedly stabbed himself to death.

wmcactionews5.com reports that Jaheim McKinzie died of his injuries after stabbing himself with a kitchen knife inside his home after his mother, Robin McKinzie, choked and beat him with an extension cord. Both the mother and son reportedly had mental health issues.

Gotti's manager and business partner, Artemis "Peppa" Williams, told Gotti about the boy's death over the weekend while he was touring in Miami, and he wanted to help out. Gotti grew up in the same Frayser apartment complex where Jaheim allegedly stabbed himself after being beaten by his mother.

The boy's aunt, Tonya Bailey, urged parents to talk openly about mental health issues and seek help and treatment for family members.

"I was explaining that to her [Robin McKinzie]. It's OK to ask for help; it's OK to get the medicine and help you need and not worry about the stigma that's going to be on them," she said.

Bailey asks the community for prayer and not to be judgmental of her family. Yo Gotti plans to pay the funeral home directly for the expenses.
