Wyclef Jean Hospitalized for Stress and Fatigue

Wyclef Jean hasn’t had much of a break since campaigning to be elected president of Haiti, and it seems that all the stress has finally gotten to him. The singer-songwriter/political activist allegedly checked himself into a New Jersey hospital due to stress and fatigue, with inside sources reaching out to Haitian activist organization AFACeAFACe to share the news with the world.

“Information from an inside source has confirmed @wyclef has been hospitalized due to Stress and Fatigue,’ tweeted the organization from its account, which Wyclef himself retweeted an hour later.

After rumors started swirling that Clef was contemplating a career in politics in late July, the former Fugees member paid a visit to CNN’s ‘Larry King Live’ to announce that he would be campaigning for Haitian presidency. The New Jersey native worked to make his dream become reality, but after the country denied his bid to become president in early September, he surrendered his fight to attain the title last week.

Wyclef most recently got into a war of words with actor Sean Penn and rapper Pras, firing shots at the two during a concert in New York City. Penn has since engaged Clef in the spar, but the two have primarily kept the beef on a low simmer.
