Wyclef Jean Drops Upbeat Track ‘I Swear’ with Young Thug

Wyclef Jean and Young Thug have linked once more, this time on the new island-inspired dance track, "I Swear" from Wyclef's forthcoming J'ouvert project.

With its pop dancehall swing, the song finds Wyclef singing to his woman about his faithfulness, while Thugger also stays on message, dropping a rhyme to his love.

“Change the way that you dress, thousand island/Let you take over, I no longer need an accountant/Lord, you really really be wild/Private ’round the world, they can’t help but see us/She got water like a boat, nickname her Aaliyah,” he raps.

This is the second collab for Young Thug and Wyclef, who linked on the track "Kanye West" from Young Thug's August release, Jeffery. Wyclef has been vocal about his support for Young, and earlier this month said the Atlanta rapper reminded him of Tupac.

“He’s from a project, I’m from a similar background," Wyclef told Pigeons and Planes. "And he has a natural love for Haiti, understanding the history of Haiti. Haiti is the first black republic. He reminded me of a modern Tupac, in a sense—in a revolutionary sense.”
