Among the titles Wyclef Jean currently holds -- Grammy winner, rapper, producer, humanitarian -- he hopes to add college graduate to the list.

Speaking at the Congressional Black Caucus Phoenix Awards Dinner in Washington, DC on Saturday, the former Fugees member announced his plans to earn a higher education. "I am enrolling in Berklee College in Boston to get my bachelor's degree in music," he stated. "That's how important education is to me."

The Haitian artist, who was presented with the George Collins Award for Community Service for his work as a Goodwill Ambassador to Haiti at the dinner, also revealed he would be teaming alongside a renowned social activist to promote his efforts. "I plan to work with Rev. Al Sharpton," he continued, "because that's how important stressing the importance of education to children is to me."

No stranger to college life, Wyclef Jean briefly attended Five Towns College in Dix Hills, N.Y., to study music.
