Wiz Khalifa Arrested for Marijuana Possession in Texas, Tweets From Jail

Rapper Wiz Khalifa is starting his Memorial Weekend on a sour note. The Taylor Gang leader was busted for marijuana possession early Sunday morning (May 25) while traveling to the Neon Desert Music Festival in El Paso, Texas.

Transportation Security Administrators at the airport discovered a "green leafy substance" during a bag check and turned him in to local authorities, according to TMZ.

Soon thereafter, Wizzy, who just released his weedmix track of Missy Elliott's 'The Rain,' tweeted a picture of himself sitting in a jail cell.

Despite his incarceration, Wizzy plans to drop his anticipated mixtape, '28 Grams,' today.

According to TMZ, authorities say that Khalifa was in possession of 5 grams of weed. Nevertheless, the 'Black and Yellow' rhymer started a #FreeTrapWiz campaign that became a trending topic on Twitter.

Wiz Khalifa is out of jail on his own recognizance and even gave a fan an autograph during his stay.
