Will.i.am Pens New Song for ‘Sesame Street’

Some viewers took offense to Will.i.am's all-black outfit at MTV's VMAs earlier this week -- well, specifically his all-black makeup -- but the super producer has some less controversial work in store for the kids this month.

The Black Eyed Peas frontman and producer was tapped to record an original song for the iconic PBS children's television series 'Sesame Street.' The new track, titled 'What I Am,' will debut on the first episode of the show's 41st season on Sept. 27. Several popular 'Sesame Street' characters -- Big Bird, Cookie Monster, the Count, Bert and Ernie -- make guest appearances in the new video.

Will.i.am. is also scheduled to appear on the Sept. 28 episode of 'Sesame Street' titled 'The Happy Scientists,' along with comedian Wanda Sykes. Check out Will.i.am.'s 'What I Am,' after the jump.
