Weekly Style Round-Up: Nanamica, Norse Projects, Muttonhead + More
This week has seen some unbelievable releases and they're the kind that you want to wrap yourself inside of to stay warm, because let's face it: it's coming up on the coldest months of the year. We've found you some great functional garments as well as some that are perfect on a brisk weekend downtown.
This a-line coat is big enough to be able to wear over a blazer and a sweater and it's also made out of Gore-Tex, a waterproof material commonly used in heavier outdoors garments. Nanamica created this gem by adding such a functional material, but updated it with a camouflage pattern that works extremely well on the streets. Available now on the Digital Mountain web shop.
If it's one thing Norse Projects does well, it's getting wool sweaters right. Like, really right. This sweater, featuring a lighter shade of gray on the back, is primarily made out of wool and cotton; just the right amount of comfort without the allergic irritation you could find on sweaters with a higher wool content. The hems along the bottom are also both curved to set it apart. Grab one here on the Norse Projects e-shop.
This collaboration between Mt. Rainier and Blue Blue, both Japanese design houses, is something we've completely fallen in love with. Not only is it made from the warmest wool available, but the inner lining is Blue Blue's signature nautical print and it looks really, really cool. Purchase one today on the Okura online shop.
Muttonhead, the beautiful brainchild from three Canadian girls, is one of the best brands out there right now. All garments are Canada-made and the homage to sports, Canadian history and the like are something we admire. These baseball pants have an elastic drawstring waist along with an elastic cuff, perfectly tapered pants are hard to come by and especially in a comfortable cotton twill. Don't sleep on these, available right now on Muttonhead's online store.
Sneaker designer Ronnie Fieg can do no wrong in our eyes, even as a stand-alone designer for Kith, his own brand, everything he touches turns to gold. His collaborations are just that: gold. These New Balance CM1600's have pink, purple and navy blue leather and suede details, and they are sure to sell-out style as they'll be released on Black Friday, so you better have your laptop/smart phone ready to go on the 29th of November.
