Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q are running drills around each other but it's not because of a rap battle. The two joined the Los Angeles Rams during their practice.

It wasn't all for fun. The two rhymers were there as a part of an HBO training camp docu-series, Hard Knocks that premiered on Tuesday (Aug. 9).

Apparently, the hardcore drills got Q thinking twice about the football career he once dreamed of.

"Damn it’s like every chance I ever thought I had at making it at football is really shattered coming out here," he said.

The two also got the chance to see the Rams' potential for the upcoming season during their practice. "See what we working with, man,” said Lamar.  It must be pretty good since Q was seeing trophies in the future for the team. "See if we can bring a championship to L.A. city," he said.

After the chit-chat, the two finally got their hands on the football and ran some drills where they successfully passed the ball to each another.

"Still got it," said Kendrick after catching the ball.

Hard Knocks airs on HBO on Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. EST until the start of the 2016 fall season. As for the Rams, the team begins their preseason on Aug. 13 against the Dallas Cowboys and follow-up with Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 12.
