Warren G Sings ‘Take Me Out to the Ball Game’ and Fails Miserably [VIDEO]
Warren G maybe a great producer, but when it comes to singing, he might have to take a pause on that. Oddly enough, the G-Funk era hitmaker was asked to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field. Unfortunately, he didn’t do so well and it was caught on video.
It’s a tradition at a baseball game to sing the anthem during the 7th inning stretch. Usually, most people know the song because it’s so well known much like “Happy Birthday” or "Jingle Bells." But apparently, Warren G doesn’t know the song at all.
“Cubbie fans, mount up,” he told the crowd before he started singing the tune.
"Take me to the ball game / Take me out with the crowd / Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks / I don’t care if I never come back," he warbled.
The words are actually: "Take me out to the ball game / Take me out with the crowd / Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks / I don’t care if I never get back."
But it wasn't all bad for the Long Beach, Calif. native. Warren G threw a fabulous first pitch right down the center.
"Don't get me f---ed up, I know I didn't get the take me to the ball game but my pitch was the best ever how you like that," he tweeted.
There you go Warren G, "Regulate" the critics.
