Wale and Stokley Williams Team Up to Perform ‘LoveHate Thing,’ ‘Inner City Blues’ at 2013 Soul Train Awards

Wale has been quieter in recent months after releasing his chart-topping LP, 'The Gifted,' in June. He showed he could still turn up at the 2013 Soul Train Awards, but he did so in a classy fashion.

Stokley Williams of Mint Condition assisted the rapper as he performed 'LoveHate Thing.' The performance had a more soulful feel than the recorded version as a suited-up Wale had the crowd clapping along with Williams' smooth ad-libs floating behind him. The instrumental from Marvin Gaye's famous 'Inner City Blues' plays along as an added bonus.

The Maybach Music Group signee previously won a Soul Train Award for Best New Artist back in 2010. His hit song 'Lotus Flower Bomb' was also nominated for Best Hip-Hop Song and Song of the Year in 2012 at the awards show.
