Waka Flocka’s Nude ‘Ink, Not Mink’ Campaign Hits the ‘Net

Robert Sebree

Last month, PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) and Waka Flocka announced that they’d partnered up for a anti-fur ad campaign that would feature the ‘No Hands’ rapper nude for the organization’s “Ink, Not Mink” campaign. Luckily for PETA, the new campaign suits the Brick Squad MC well considering he’s covered in tattoos from the waist up.

“Understand where that fox fur came from before you spend $1,000…someone got their head beat in and electrocuted,” Waka explains in an interview with PETA. “Understand what you buy, instead of just going off fashion and what it looks like-that’s what I’d tell my community.”

Waka is the first rapper to appear in the Ink, Not Mink ads, but we definitely see a trend here. Waka isn’t the only rapper who supports PETA, and he certainly isn’t the only inked up emcee. Chuck D, Common, Kid Sister, Mark Ronson, Travie McCoy, Murs, Masta Killa and Mario have all teamed with PETA in support of their anti-fur campaign.

Check out a behind-the-scenes video of Waka talking about why he thinks fur is “nasty.”
