Vic Mensa had the internet in a bit of a tizzy when he blurred Chance the Rapper out of a group photo he took with Jay Z and Beyoncé, seemingly hinting that he’d terminated his friendship with his fellow Chicago spitter. Vic not only obscured the image of Chance, but sent a shout out to all his other homies in an Instagram post and called out an unknown party in a gritty L.A. Leakers freestyle. “This is Roc, stay in your lane/ Im taking shots I aint saying no names," Chance rhymed.

The beef rumors are beginning to pipe down as Kanye West's long-time friend and collaborator Malik Yusef took to Instagram Sunday to assure fans that Vic and Chance are, in fact, not beefing.

"There is NO beef between @chancetherapper and @vicmensa," Yusef wrote. Y'all mufukin tweaking. Shorty we super well, red and blue 11 points of power, shout out the family."

Also, in an interview with Real 92.3 Mensa addressed the simmering controversy.

“I don’t do my people dirty. I Just don’t do it," he said. "So is somebody was wanting to beef with me, they wouldn’t really have all that much ammo. They would have to start digging and making things up cause I just keep it really really real with my guys and people that I move with, that I do business with. They’ll testify Im a hunnid.”
