Rapper Verbal Kent may not be a household name, but he’s been toiling around the underground rap scene for many years. The Chicago rhymer is known for his punchy verses and in his new video for 'Sammy Sosa,' he shows us why he’s such a lyrical pitch hitter.

Directed by Chip Beasley, the clip is extremely low budget but drives home the point. Behind a green screen, Kent and producer Khrysis takes viewers around the world to bring you the true essence of hip-hop.

"I’ma make the best of what I got work / Plus, rock the f--- out of this concert / Make all of your fans converts when they converse / Sound like they went and seen a bomb burst / Funky like the water that your mom burst," he raps in the minimalist video.

Verbal Kent is set to drop his new solo project, 'Sound of the Weapon,' which is produced entirely by Khrysis. The collection will arrive in stores Feb. 18 via Mello Music Group. You can pre-order the LP via iTunes.
