The Vans Sk8-Hi MTE starts with the standard skate silhouette but a tanned leather ankle collar and boot like eyelets at the top of the lace plate as well. With an even more built up outsole for durability and a Scotchgard treated upper they may not be as rugged as your work boot but they certainly pack as much bang for your buck, especially with that fleece lining tucked inside of it.
