Vanilla Ice may be known for his 1990's novelty hit 'Ice Ice Baby,' but it looks like the former rapper is looking to head to the big screen rather than make a return to music.

The veteran rapper is set to make his mark in Adam Sandler's upcoming film 'I Hate You, Dad.' The flick is based on the story of a father (Sandler), who moves in with his son, played by Andy Samberg, and his fiancée, only to immediately start feuding with the bride-to-be. Ice will play the role of Antonio, a gay wedding coordinator from Long Island who's old friends with Sandler's character.

Ice previously starred in the 1991 film 'Cool As Ice' and the 2002 teen comedy 'The New Guy.' In 2010, he was featured in a reality show based on his home improvement skills called 'The Vanilla Ice Project,' which ran on the DIY Channel.

On the music front, Vanilla Ice's sixth studio album, 'WTF' (Wisdom, Tenacity and Focus), has yet to see a release date. As for other acting projects, he is set to appear in a U.K. run of 'Peter Pan,' where he will be doing a pantomime performance.

'I Hate You, Dad' is expected to hit theaters on June 15, 2012.
