Usher Tells Chris Brown to ‘Have a Little Remorse’
Taking to producer Jermaine Dupri's blog, the superstar held no punches while talking about Brown. "I'm a little disappointed in these photos," he said speaking of both alleged pictures of battered Rihanna after the altercation and snapshots of Brown jet skiing in Miami over the weekend.
"Have a little remorse. The man's on jet skis...just relaxing in Miami?" Amidst background laughter, courtesy of singer/songwriter Johnta Austin, Usher seemed extremely serious when talking about the matter.
The 8-minute long video is a comedic blog put together by Dupri in which he, Usher, Austin and writer/producer Brian Michael Cox talk, joke and laugh throughout.
Pictures of Brown, 19, lounging on Miami's Star Island at the home of mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs were released to the media this past weekend. Photos of Brown and Rihanna landing in Los Angeles Monday have also hit the news circuit.
Rihanna has remained mum on the incident but her relatives have been more vocal. The pop diva's father, who initially stated that his daughter would leave Brown and hopefully speak out against domestic violence, has since changed his tune. "Whatever road she chooses, I'm behind her," he said in an interview.
On Feb. 8, Brown turned himself in to authorities in Los Angeles following the alleged assault. He was later released on $50,000 bail. One week later Brown released a statement expressing his remorse for the incident but also noted that the stories reported in the media were not completely true. Other performers like Kanye West, Jay-Z and Ne-Yo have also weighed in on the incident expressing their disdain towards the altercation while putting their support behind Rihanna.
Authorities are currently gathering more evidence against Brown to send back to the Los Angeles district's attorney. Brown has yet to be charged with any wrongdoing.
