Usher's 11-year-old stepson, Kile Glover, may soon be taken off life support, TMZ reports, as the family has nearly reached the limits of its insurance coverage.

While Kile's mother -- Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Foster -- still hopes her son will recover from last week's tragic jet ski accident, a mishap in Atlanta's Lake Lanier that left him brain dead, she may have to pull the plug as early as next month, according to the gossip site.

The insurance company evidently hasn't set a fixed deadline, but source say coverage will run for a "a couple months ... tops." Usher has apparently provided moral support for his ex and her family, but TMZ claims the R&B superstar hasn't offered to pay for medical expenses. Foster apparently doesn't view the singer as "a viable financial option."

Usher helped raise Kile for several years prior to the couple's divorce in 2009. Usher and Foster have been at odds ever since, though he's said to have chartered her a plane in the aftermath of the accident and rushed to Atlanta to join the family at the hospital.
