Usher, Grammys 2013: ‘Climax’ Wins Best R&B Performance

Lester Cohen, WireImage

Usher’s “Climax” won the award for Best R&B Performance at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

He beat out Estelle’s “Thank You;” Miguel’s “Adorn;” Luke James’ “I Want You” and Robert Glasper Experiment’s “Gonna Be Alright (F.T.B.),” respectively.

“Climax” was seen as something of a return to form for Usher, who had seemingly turned his back on R&B for the greener pastures of EDM-pop. But the minimalist tune won him back his old fans, and now a Grammy.

Congrats Usher!
