Usher Fighting Global AIDS Epidemic With the Help of Vodka
Usher will star in Belvedere Vodka’s upcoming campaign for their new, limited-edition (Product)Red bottle. As part of the Red campaign, Belvedere will donate fifty percent of the product’s sales to provide care for HIV/AIDS victims in six African countries.
Usher kicked-off the new campaign with an invitation-only performance during a pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles last night (Feb. 10). A number of celebrities, including Serena Williams, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent will be on hand to celebrate the product launch. The new Belvedere (Product)Red Bottles will bear the message “Helps Save Lives,” and will be available in stores starting this summer. According to the Global Fund, Product Red has raised over $150 billion dollars thanks to participation from brands like Converse, Starbucks, Gap and Apple. Belvedere is the first liquor brand to join the initiative.
After a rough start, Usher is currently performing dates on his international OMG tour, and during the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday (Feb. 6), he took the stage with the Black Eyed Peas to perform his hit single ‘OMG.’
