After two years of divorce rumors, R&B singer Usher Raymond and his wife Tameka Foster-Raymnd, are calling it quits. According to reports, the singer filed divorce papers this morning in Atlanta and moved out of their Atlanta home several weeks ago.

A source close to the family confirmed the split. "Usher's primary concern is for his children," said the source of their two son, 17-month old Usher Raymond V, and 6-month old Naviyd Eli. "He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them."

Last week Usher, 30, was spotted with a mystery woman while on a trip to Los Angeles. It was later revealed that the woman is a project manager for Def Jam Records. The Grammy winner was also snapped without his wedding ring, fueling rumors of an impending split.

Despite the reports, Foster-Raymond, 38, has kept up a united front, even taking to her Twitter page to address a blogger who questioned Usher's fidelity. "You're a[n] angry woman," she wrote. "I don't know who hurt [you], but it wasn't me. I will pray for you. I'm happy & life is GOOD for me! Enjoy [yours]."

Usher has also defended his marriage while promoting his 'Here I Stand' album last year. "I'm tired of people continuing to talk so much track about me," he said during a television interview. "I love my wife very very much. I hear ya'll talking crazy out there. She's a beautiful black woman. Stop. Stop talking. Stop it!"

The couple wed in 2007, amidst a firestorm of reports of both family drama and Foster-Raymond's alleged controlling behavior. Usher's mother, Jonetta-Patton did not attend their wedding, increasing speculation of a rift between her son and his then bride.

The two have yet to release a statement on the matter.
