Usher 911 Tape Released

If you needed proof that Usher actually called the cops on his soon-to-be ex-wife, the 911 recording just hit the net.

Despite Tameka Foster-Raymond’s denials of any involvement in the defacement of her ex’s SUV, Usher made the call to file a complaint with authorities.

On the recording, the 31-year-old R&B superstar, who was not at his residence at the time of the call, explains the domestic incident to the dispatcher.

“I wanted to report a situation where my car has been keyed,” Usher said of the incident, which took place the night before the call. “I called and filed a complaint because of potential domestic violence between me and my ex-wife. She had come to my house, they sent the police there last night … we filed a complaint.”

Usher goes on to identify himself and further explain that by the time the cops arrived at the residence, Foster-Raymond had fled the scene. The Grammy-winner claimed that the next morning his assistant informed him that the car, which was getting fixed due to a flat tire, had been extensively scratched, presumably with a key.

According to reports, the September episode escalated following a custody dispute. After dropping off his two young sons, of whom he shares custody with Foster-Raymond, at his mother’s house, Foster-Raymond allegedly showed up demanding to take the children.

This latest incident is but one of many in what is shaping up to be a bitter divorce between the two. “This is just another attempt to disparage Tameka,” her rep said in a statement. “It’s simply an angry ploy that has no merit. Tameka’s own truck was scratched, but it’s not clear how. The truck is registered in her name, it’s not even Usher’s car. Why would she vandalize her own vehicle?”

Since they tied the knot in 2007, rumors of a troubled relationship have flourished. The absence of the Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton, from their wedding only increased speculation of a rift between the couple and his family. The performer ultimately filed for divorce in June of this year.

Earlier this month he released the song ‘Papers,’ in which he chronicles the breakdown of his marriage. Usher is prepping the release of his sixth album, tentatively titled ‘Raymond vs. Raymond.’
