Uncle Kracker, Kid Rock's former DJ-turned-solo artist, was arrested this morning on a second degree sex offense charge in North Carolina. According to Jim Sughrue, a spokesman for the Raleigh police department, a 26-year-old woman alleged that she was the victim of sexual assault at a downtown club called the Ess Lounge.

Police obtained a warrant charging the singer, born Matthew Shafer, with second degree forcible sex offense and arrested him at his hotel. The 33-year-old musician is being held at the Wake County Jail on a $5 million bond, and is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.
