Tyga Says Young Money Is ‘Holding Me Hostage,’ Mack Maine Responds
After releasing two solo albums on the label, Tyga is looking to leave Young Money Records. The 'Rack City' rhymer went on a Twitter rant today (Oct. 10), accusing Lil Wayne's label of holding him "hostage" since his new album, 'The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty,' is complete and still hasn't received a release date.
"Gold album been done. my label holding me hostage so i can't release nothing," he tweeted. "[I] might just leak it for my fans then let them make $ off it."
"The music industry is a devils playground. Im a man of God," he continued. "#LastKings is what i built and the only thing I rep."
The 24-year-old Compton rapper also responded to a follower who asked if he's still on Young Money? His reply: "Not for long."
Young Money president Mack Maine chimed in on Tyga's comments with a tweet crediting Weezy's label for building his career.
