Tyga Says Lil Wayne Encouraged Diddy-Dirty Money Tour

Although his current tour with Diddy-Dirty Money runs concurrently and in direct competition with Lil Wayne's I Am Still Music tour, Los Angeles rapper Tyga says that there is no beef between his Young Money crew and his touring partners.

br /> According to Tyga, opening for Diddy's 20-city run behind 'Last Train to Paris' was actually Weezy's idea.

"Wayne told us: Don't rely on him to make you hot, don't rely on him for the hits. You have to really go out and grind for your own and build your own fanbase," the heavily tattooed rapper told MTV. "That's important. People respect that more, too, when you can build your own foundation and they can really get to you as an artist and not get to know you as a group."

Tyga went on to say that his 'Last Train to Paris' contribution goes beyond simply being an opener -- he also advises Diddy on his performance. "Every time he comes to me after the show and is like, 'How was that? Was the show dope? Tell me what you think,'" Tyga explained. "I tell him stuff like, 'Maybe you should add that song right there to keep the energy' or whatever. It's a lot of respect out there."

Diddy-Dirty Money's Last Train to Paris tour launched in Minneapolis last week, and wraps up in St. Louis on May 15. Meanwhile, Lil Wayne's I Am Still Music tour with fellow Young Money MC Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Travis Barker has added Canadian dates, and will continue its mega-popular run up until Calgary on April 29.
