It’s no secret that YMCMB has its share of family drama. The internal problems continues with Tyga and Lil Wayne both claiming that Cash Money Records is holding their albums hostage and stifling their creativity.

In an interview with Power 106 at the Cali Christmas event, Tyga addressed some of the frustrations he's having with the label.

"The album is done so like I'm going to put it out independently, I'm just getting out [of] my deal right now," he revealed.

Tyga also echoes Weezy's sentiments regarding allowing his creative freedom to be expressed with his projects.

"I feel like as an artist what we do creatively should never be imprisoned and at the end of the day we do it to bring it to the fans," he said. "It's not a selfish thing it's just not fair to the fans. You've got millions of people who want your music and they don't understand the behind the scenes politics."

But despite the Cash Money setbacks, Tyga confirmed he is moving forward with his album -- even if he has to use his own cash money.

"I'm dropping regardless. I'm paying for my own videos and everything so I ain't waiting on nobody," he said. "Everything come to the light so you got to treat people the way you want to be treated at the end of the day."
